Ma Ma Ma One Who Holds the Whole World

Karuna Sagari Ma by C.C. White

Years ago, I went to a Kirtan night above someone’s garage where they had made a beautiful Kirtan room. Through this experience I was introduced to the music of C.C. White:

“With a beautiful Mother, that sang  Gospel Operatic Music so sweetly to C.C. when she was in her Mother’s womb it’s a wonder she came into this world with a song deep in her soul and a constant beautiful and moving melody in her heart.

C.C.’s been singing with this gift from the divine since the age of 2 years old, playing piano since the age of 6 yrs. old and attended Sewell Music Conservatory and The Peabody Institute of Music.” C.C. White

This is Soul Kirtan.

Ma, Ma
Ocean of Compassion

Ma Ma
Fierce
And invincible
Bearer of skulls

Ma Ma Ma
One Who Holds the Whole World …

Compassion and mercy
For the ocean to the Mother
And the Savior and the earth
We’ve got to love each other

The Other Side of Our Story

“Karuna” is described as the essence of religion by Tantric sages, representing a deep feeling of loving-kindness. It is associated with compassion, mother-love, and nurturing, often learned through physical and emotional comfort. The term is also linked to the Goddess as a dispenser of karuna, sometimes translated as “Brilliant One,” and embodies qualities such as sexuality, motherhood, marital bliss, friendship, generosity, and mercy. The Goddess’s sacred teachers of karuna were revered for their compassionate roles, and the concept is deeply tied to the divine feminine and maternal aspects.
