Late in 2024, we started a collaboration effort called #theNinthWave #theWomenAreComing. This is the Third Launch of Nine Women or Organizations who have agreed to travel together for Nine months.

D’vorah’s publications include: Lilith’s Fire: Reclaiming our Sacred Lifeforce; Talking to Goddess, an anthology of writings from 72 women in 25 traditions; “Lilith’s Fire: Examining Original Sources of Power”, Feminist Theology Journal; Jewish priestess and Lilith entries in Encyclopedia of Women in World Religions. The background: in 1985, after fourteen years of study and professional performing and teaching experience as a modern dancer, performance artist and yoga instructor, Joan set out to create her own unique artistic expression.  Joan soon found herself “downloaded by the Universe” with concepts and practices that had profound cathartic and healing effects on audiences and students.

For ten years, Joan studied all kinds of spiritual and psychological methods, trying to understand the practice that she had been given.  These included Buddhism, shamanic training, ordination as a priestess in the Fellowship of Isis and most of all training by her own spirits guides. By 1995, Joan realized the best thing you could call what she was doing is modern shamanism. This is the system now called the Life Force Wisdom Wheel. It’s based in the human body and human consciousness, rather than in a particular culture or religion. We work with the human body, voice and consciousness as our direct link to our ancestors, to nature and to the spirit realm.

The Great Goddess path is very ancient, going back more than 3.500 years B.C.,extending to the area we nowadays call Mediterranean, including the middle east & way into the valley of Harappan in Pakistan.

Her priestesses were called the Bees & applied different ritual arts to help the initiates align with natural & cosmic laws. Their societal structure was inspired by the society of the bees, those amazing insects that thrive in community, clear roles & boundaries, collaboration, incredible sense of orientation, sacred dance, buzzing beauty & the sweetness of honey.

I´ve wanted to create a deep program dedicated to the Great Goddess for long, & one of the reasons that I feel this is the time to do so is in honor of my mediterranean ancestresses & of those women that would like to get to know this tradition or already have some knowledge of it, & would like to go deeper.
