What Kind of Information Is Included in Goddess 101 Texts?
Hello, I’m Caryn MacGrandle, and I’ve been working on the Divine Feminine App for over a decade. During that time, I’ve collected and curated the work of women (and womyn-led organizations) devoted to the Sacred Feminine, the Ancient Mother, and Goddess traditions.
Our global community includes nearly 12,000 women and more than 8,000 listings, including:
- Circles and gatherings
- Events and retreats
- Podcasts and interviews
- Music, songs, and art
- Products and organizations
Many of these scholars, teachers, and creators have spent years—or decades—unearthing ancient wisdom and sharing perspectives rooted in a divinely feminine worldview. Goddess 101 Texts offers a gentle, accessible way to experience this wisdom, especially for those who may only know the Sacred Feminine through popular culture.
What Is Missing From Popular Culture’s Portrayal of the Sacred Feminine?
We love seeing Goddess imagery and themes show up in popular culture—from Moana to Beyoncé and beyond. These expressions can be powerful entry points into a more inclusive, balanced worldview that honors all genders and cultures.
At the same time, much of what circulates online is exaggerated, oversimplified, or stripped of historical and cultural context. Goddess 101 Texts draws from long-standing, reputable organizations, including ASWM (Association for the Study of Women and Mythology), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007.
ASWM offers monthly Scholar Salons featuring diverse voices and academically grounded perspectives on the divine feminine. Many of these offerings can be found through the Divine Feminine App.
Why Does the World Need the Divine Feminine?
For thousands of years, humanity has lived within a dominator culture—one that emphasizes hierarchy, control, and separation. Today, we are being called to evolve toward a partnership model that values balance, cooperation, and care for both people and the Earth.
Indigenous traditions and Goddess cultures alike teach:
