Who Am I?
Caryn MacGrandle (aka Karen Moon). I started my professional life at 14 years old as a student intern at an Electrical Engineering Association firm. I received a BS in Communications with a GPA of 3.7 from the University of Texas in Austin and did three semesters of MBA work at the University of Texas at Dallas. I worked several administrative and marketing jobs before landing at Canon’s Regional Headquarters in Dallas where I was a Marketing Assistant for their regional dealers. I married Air Force Pilot husband #1 and left to follow him around the States. Even though we lived in smaller cities in remote states, I never stopped working: my own video editing company, supervisor of a merchandising companies for years, putting in place an inventory system and working as an Office Manager at a printing company and more. Over the past ten years, I have run my own S-Corporation doing Project Management and App Development for one main client amongst others. I regularly write and contribute to different online sites and host workshops/seminars such as a recent one on “Intersectionality: How We See the World Through Our Own Individual Lenses of Gender, Class, Race” for the 2023 Parliament of World Religions. I am dedicated, loyal, authentic, resourceful, open-hearted, far-seeing, hard-working and a great person to call a friend. I excel at prioritization, communication and Big Picture Thinking.
